]]> A great new option @ the Library this month: Toy kits.

What is a toy kit? They contain one or more interactive and educational toys or games, picture books and activity sheets.  They are one way that the Library promotes emerging literacy skills and family sharing activities involving books. One kit per family is allowed to be checked out for 3 weeks.  What a  great way to spend time as a family helping your emerging reader to grow!

Themes include: Rhyming Fun, Animal Adventures, Riddle Fun, Things that Go – Transportation, Musical Fun, Play out some stories, and Numbers.

We now offer Early Literacy bags. Each bag is based on a reading level and theme.  They contain 5 or more books to help your child expand his reading.  Fun themes include Scooby Doo, Dora, cars, individual sounds, and more.

They bags are available to check out for 3 weeks and allows you and your child to work through the books at your own pace.
